Heating with electricity.

Those who use distance heating on a district-by-district basis do so because it is assumed to be cheaper. This assumption is simply wrong if we compare it to infrared heating technology – in terms of both installation and the cost of heating. On top of this is a high environmental impact (CO2 emissions and fine particles) due to 85% of the energy having been generated by fossil fuels. Heating with electricity has, unfortunately, a poor reputation. Much of this is due to the use of technologically antiquated and inefficient radiators that can only generate convection heating.
